Like a mafia boss, Trump bribing Republicans to earn their loyalty.

Mafia Boss Donald Trump

I am from a country in Central America and was very used to patent and obvious corruption, hidden but easily inferred. The brazen nature of Donald Trump’s corruption is tantamount to the American Presidency in control of a Mafia Boss, the Don of America. The sad thing, it is done in the open and so far accepted by 43% of the American population.

It should scare us all that our Presidential Mafia Boss has a funding base with the ability to generate millions on the fly. This should not scare but concern every American. You can be sure that using Citizen United and McCutcheon, the Trump money is likely coming from people in high places we would least expect as supporters. The masses must realize that there is much more to Trump than Trump. This is about the enrichment of a few through the legalized theft of the masses.

This is how the Mafia Boss operates.

With the kind of cash the Trump machine is generating, paying for the support of politicians is just another ledger entry. Americans will have to decide if they are slaves, indentured servants, or citizens. I am betting on the latter in the long run.

Trump’s latest impeachment quid pro quo involves Republican senators and campaign cash

Donald Trump needs to keep Republican senators on his side as the likelihood of a Senate impeachment trial looms, but for some Republicans, being too firmly on Trump’s side could be a liability in 2020. Trump’s answer is straightforward: He’s raising money for those who carry his water.

On Wednesday, the Trump campaign sent out a fundraising email for Trump himself and Sens. Cory Gardner of Colorado, Joni Ernst of Iowa, and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. Gardner in particular is considered vulnerable in 2020, but all three signed on to Sen. Lindsey Graham’s resolution screaming about how unfair it is that Trump might actually have to answer for his abuses. “If we don’t post strong fundraising numbers, we won’t be able to defend the President from this baseless Impeachment WITCH HUNT,” the fundraising message threatened. Next week, Trump is holding a fundraiser for Georgia Sen. David Perdue, and he’ll appear at a reception for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s super PAC, the Senate Leadership Fund.

Senators like Gardner, Ernst, and Tillis may suffer with some voters for tying themselves so strongly to Trump in the middle of impeachment, but they sure will have the money to try to win those voters back.
