One of the reasons we want diverse journalists is that one gets perspectives otherwise ignored. Ali Velshi’s coverage of the protests in Minneapolis was spot on.
By giving it context one can be sure many learned much that they would have otherwise been ignorant of, as they misjudge the reasons for the protests in the first place. We should all thank Ali Velshi for his very good work as he attempts to give context to a riot that is generally misrepresented by both mainstream media and the Right-Wing media.
Ali, please keep up your very good work. One knows the limitations given the rails mainstream media must operate under. You straddle them very well.
