Hope Hicks was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday. She is symptomatic. Yet Trump went to a fundraiser on Thursday.
Hope Hicks COVID infection is a product of Trump’s irresponsibility
The chronology as pointed out on MSNBC was as follows:
- On Wednesday morning Hope Hicks had a COVID-19 test. It was the quick test that presumably has a 30% to 50% false-negative rate. She tested negative.
- Hope traveled in closed quarters with the staff and Trump on Marine One and Airforce One. Very few of the Trump staff wear masks.
- On Wednesday evening Hicks became symptomatic and had a second test. That test came back positive.
- On Thursday Donald Trump went to a fundraiser. Hope was not on the trip.
It is clear that the president even after a positive test by a close staffer in close proximity, did the selfish and irresponsible thing by attending a fundraiser where many others could have been infected.
Trump a few hours ago sent out a tweet saying he and the First Lady are beginning the quarantine process.
My hunch is that the story is deeper. The tweet says they are waiting for results. But they have a quick test. Is it possible the quick test came back positive? Are they maybe waiting for a more accurate confirmation?
Herman Cain has got to be in the back of his mind. Trump got his friend killed by being irresponsible to satisfy his fuhrer as he attended one of his mask-less rallies.
