One must admire how WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki dispatches childish and moronic questions from some reporters. This one was short but effective.

Did this reporter realize Jen Psaki dismissed him?

President Joe Biden and Democrats just passed the most transformational bill, likely since FDR. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed our economic system’s failures and the draconian nature in which it damages people.

The COVID Relief Bill will lift millions of Americans, children, and adults out of poverty. It is under the weight of this great success that makes the question from a reporter at today’s press conference completely out of scope.

The petulant reporter was concerned that President Joe Biden pointed out that the number of people who have died from the COVID-19 pandemic is more than the number that died in several world wars and more. He took exception with the comparison pointing out that the numbers were not accurate. Of course, it all depends if one is counting battlefield dead or otherwise.

But that is not the point. The President wanted to give Americans, who sometimes are numb to the number of deaths, some perspective.

Jen Psaki handled the childish reporter well when he insisted that the president explain and correct the comparison.

“I am glad,” Psaki said. “You’re focused on the important business.”

Psaki dispatched the reporter and moved on to the next.
