Congressman: “Donald Trump is a very dumb man. He could not have done this on his own.” EXACTLY!

An inconvenient truth about Republican vs. Democratic legislation. Sen. Tim Kaine is right.

Congressman Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) did not pull any punches as he pointed out there are forces at work beyond a dumb Donald Trump. Heed his call.

He said it. A dumb Donald Trump could not act alone.

The attack on United States Capitol, the insurrection, was clearly well organized by many. The New York Times’ well-researched video on the actual event made it very clear. That kind of organization is well beyond Donald Trump’s demonstrated intellect.

It is easy to blame all the bad that has occurred over the last four years on Donald Trump. It is not fair. Donald Trump is just the boss who thinks he is the boss. He is really nothing more than a puppet of the autocratic portion of our plutocracy. And Congressman Ruben Galleco makes it clear.

“The full core of our military is not always going to be our safety net,” Rep. Ruben Gallego said, “Think about this. General Flynn could have potentially been back in the Pentagon. He, pretty much, is as Q-Anon nut, as you can get. It is the lawyers; it is civilian people; it is the secretaries of this cabinet that are now serving on corporate boards and treated as if they weren’t part of the insurrection that enabled this feeble man. Donald Trump is a very dumb man. He could not have done this on his own. The fact is that there were active people that were really smart about operating the levels of government that put him in this position that almost attempted a coup. So we just can’t rely on the military. We also have to make sure that we have civil society and civil servants that are actually going to protect the constitution. And when they don’t, there should be consequences. We shouldn’t just invite them back into society as if nothing happened.”

Congressman Gallego said out loud what many either surmised or knew. As we move forward, we should realize that our Democracy is not as secure and robust as we want.
