Tiffany Cross took on Megyn Kelly’s spat with Naomi Osaka from a direction inspected by few others, but that was necessary.

When Megyn Kelly left Fox News, some may have believed she would try to attain some level of seriousness. After all, she could have been aided by the sympathy some felt after Trump attacked her for asking uncomfortable questions during a debate. Her rebirth was not to be.
Recently, Kelly attacked Naomi Osaka.
The editor of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition blasted conservative pundit Megyn Kelly after she attacked tennis star Naomi Osaka for her recent decision to not conduct media interviews and pull back from the public eye, citing mental health concerns. “Well, first of all, we did that shoot back in December of 2020,” said editor M.J. Day during an interview with People magazine. Kelly earlier this week accused Osaka of not being genuine about wanting to take a step back from the public spotlight, noting she appeared on a series of recent magazine covers.
Osaka shot back, saying those media appearances were produced well before her decision to take a break. After confirming Osaka’s account of the timeline of events, Day accused Kelly, a longtime conservative media firebrand, of bullying the tennis superstar and vocal social justice activist. “It’s such bullying and it’s so unnecessary, and this woman did nothing wrong,” Day told People. “I’m like, ‘You know what, you’re journalists. How about you do your job and you fact check instead of jumping all over this woman for attention’?”
Cross expands the story
Tyffany Cross appropriately expanded the story. She first pointed out Megyn Kelly’s propensity to be at a minimum race-insensitive. She played Kelly’s ethnic take on Santa Claus, Jesus, and black face, for which she subsequently had to “apologize.”
Cross shows the constancy of Kelly’s attacks and demeaning of Black women. Of course, few have the verbal expertise to take Kelly down a peg or two as effectively as Tiffany can, and she did just that.
“Stop punching above your weight,” Cross said. “You keep asking for this smoke that you really don’t want. You want to act like a high school mean girl, and you’ll get treated that way. Sit down, be humble while our left stroke keeps going viral. Let the grown women speak. You’re not invited to this table. You don’t have the range.”
