Governor Larry Hogan, (R-MD) called out Trump Republicans for their willful deception over January 6th. It was a violent insurrection.
Governor Larry Hogan told the truth
It is refreshing to find Republicans who are not scared of Trump’s shadow. Larry Hogan, the Governor of Maryland is one of those. Here is his response after Dana Bash asked him about January 6th and the Republican response.
“That’s one of the reasons why I continue to speak up and tell the truth about, you know, what happened,” Hogan said. “Because I think it’s critically important. I mean, it’s frankly, it’s crazy that many people believe that, you know, things that just simply aren’t true, that they believe a different version of reality. But look, let’s face it, there’s been an amazing amount of disinformation that’s been spread over the past year and many people are consuming that disinformation and believing it as if it’s fact. To think that the violent protesters who attacked the capitol, our seat of democracy on January 6 was just tourists, you know, looking at statues, it’s insane that anyone could watch that on television and believe that’s what happened.”
Kudos to the Governor for telling it like it is. He should be commended.
