Jen Psaki schools cognitive-dissonant Doocy: Ask oil companies to justify their failure.

The willfully ignorant Peter Doocy showed his ignorance of the oil crisis. Jen Psaki schooled him. But the subject is much more profound.

Jen Psaki schools Peter Doocy on oil. Again!

Watch Politics Done Right T.V. here.

The Fox News faux White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, continues to ask questions that an informed third-grader wouldn’t. He accused the administration of blaming Russia for the increase in gasoline prices even though they were increasing before the war.

I guess Doocy thinks certain occurrences are mutually exclusive. Of course, oil companies were parasitically increasing prices because they could. But the war gave them a reason that Americans would buy to ramp up the high prices even further.

The faux reporter then asked why the Biden administration did not produce more oil in America, given that they are asking other countries to pump more. Of course, everyone knows that the oil companies are sitting on thousands of leases, and if they wanted to invest in producing more, they could. But one should remember corporations only believe in price maximization. They want to accumulate as many leases to drill as possible then maximize their profits in its utilization.

“Let me give you the facts here,” Jen Psaki said. “And I know that can be inconvenient, but I think they’re important in this moment. To the contrary, we have been clear that in the short term, supply must keep up with the demand where we are and here and around the world while we make the shift to a secure, clean energy future. We are one of the largest producers with a strong domestic oil and gas industry. We have actually produced more oil. It is at record numbers, and we will continue to produce more oil. There are 9000 approved drilling permits that are not being used. So the suggestion that we are not allowing companies to drill is inaccurate. The suggestion that that is what is hindering or preventing gas prices to come down is inaccurate.”

When Doocy asked the silly question about whether Biden would rescind his executive order banning halting new oil and gas leases on public land, Psaki highlighted the inconvenient truth.

“Well, 90% of them happen on private lands, as I’m sure you know,” Psaki responded. “And there are 9000 unused approved drilling permits. So I would suggest you ask the oil companies why they’re not using those if there’s a desire to drill more.”

Even without Russian oil, there is enough supply. We must remove the political extortion we are waging on a few countries because they have not adopted our selfish way of allocating the profits from our natural resources. We discuss some of this in the video clip in this post that is from a recent Politics Done Right episode. Please be sure to watch in its entirety.
