Chuck Todd tags Trump as unpatriotic and slams sycophant Republican Senator Kevin Cramer.

It was depressing to watch Senator Kevin Cramer attempt false equivalences. Chuck Todd decisively tore into him.

Chuck Todd nails him.

Chuck Todd was strong at the outset as he probed Republican Senator Kevin Cramer.

“It comes across as almost a bit unpatriotic to ask literally the enemy of the free world right now for propaganda for a political opponent,” Chuck Todd said. “I mean, it just seemed like a horrendous thing to do by the former president.”

The senator responded with a silly whataboutism stating that if the name were one of the Trump kids, the media would treat the situation differently.

Chuck Todd slammed back.

“What about this? That is the senator,” Chuck Todd slammed back. “That is the laziest attack. It is not about the media. It does not matter about the media. Is it the right thing to do for the former president of the United States to ask an enemy of the free world to do this?”

Of course, the senator continued his hyperventilating. After some back and forth, Todd let the senator have it.

“Look, I’m not going to debate you about whether Trump gets too much coverage or not enough. Right,” Todd said. “But he is the leader of your party, sir. At the end of the day, whether you like it or not, he’s the leader of your party. Are you comfortable with the leader of your party playing footsie with Vladimir Putin?”

Senator Kevin Cramer continued vacillating, claiming that Democrats had played footsies with Putin before. Todd would have none of it.

“Look, rationalize on that stuff. That’s a political argument. That’s fair again. Working with the enemy seems to be a bridge too far. “

Maybe the mainstream media will try to be more responsible when covering Donald Trump and his sycophants. The rest of the world is concerned that the purported leader of Democracy in the world will bring an autocrat back to the presidency. It will be a fatal mistake to America’s credibility internally and abroad.
