My response to a Right-Wing listener who says he visits my show so he remembers we are the enemy!

This Right-Wing listener watches Politics Done Right near daily. His statement as to why compelled me to give this response.

Response to my Right-Wing listener

Watch Politics Done Right T.V. here.

My program Politics Done Right attracts folks of just about every ideology. I am unabashedly progressive but allow everyone to engage and dialogue. I have many Right-Wingers both on my live show and on my podcast who contact me to debate, ‘put me in my place,’ or thank me for opening their eyes. The thing is, most who make contact come back frequently.

I have a person who watches our live show almost daily. He left a message that I thought needed to address in real-time. He posted the following.

Surely some of you wonder why I torture myself by listening to this radical Leftist program. At first it was to try to understand what and why the Left believe the lies. Now I know yall are irredeemable and I listen to remind myself daily who my enemies are. It is also kinda like rubber necking a car accident, the shit show that is this Leftist ideology is a kinda like that.

I always ask my detractors to point out precisely any lies, misinformation, or inhumane thing that I have said. The answer is either crickets, bloviation, or a complete lie about something I have said.

Our system indoctrinated most of these detractors like it has a large percentage of Americans to an economic ideology. I pointed out in my response that the biggest lie that many believe but that defies basic math is that private corporations can deliver services and products more efficiently at all costs. It is a fallacy that is very hard to knock.

Here is the reality. All things being equal, shareholder dividends and executive bonuses make the efficiency statement impossible. And then there are examples. The complexity inherent in private healthcare compared to the simplicity and efficiency of a one-payer system (Single-Payer Medicare for All) is quantifiable & undeniable.

One of the largest government-undertaken was going to the moon within ten years. While it is true that private-sector corporations were instrumental in the output, it was a government endeavor. Ultimately, the government takes the most risks for our successful inventions from space travel, microchips, and the internet. Corporations are generally parasites averse to the initial risk of the new. Government universities and your tax dollars are the driving force of our economy. Corporations are just good at hoodwinking most into believing they are the funders of innovation. The term parasite is apropos here.
