Fox News panel explodes as panelist points out that crime is higher in the Red States than in the Blue States.

Unfortunately for a channel like Fox News that misinforms its audience, they panic when hit by a truth that goes against their indoctrination message.

Fox News panel hyperventilates.

Watch Politics Done Right T.V. here.

Here is a shocker. First, thank DailyKos’ Frank Vyan Walton and TYT’s Damage Report for this catch.

Fox News loves telling its listeners that ‘Democrat-run cities’ are laden with crime. They forget that criminals purchase most guns that enter places like Chicago in the Red States. It makes good fodder, hits many of their listeners’ prejudices, and deflects from Red State policies that keep these states with a largely poor and uneducated population.

Progressive panelist, the lone one on the large panel, used her opportunity to provide a bit of truth on crime rates to the Fox News audience. It turns out that 7 of the ten states with the highest crimes are the Red States. And two of the three highest are also the highest in the Red States.

Here are the ten states with the highest murder rate:

  1. Louisiana (12.4 per 100k)
  2. Missouri (9.8 per 100k)
  3. Nevada (9.1 per 100k)
  4. Maryland (9 per 100k)
  5. Arkansas (8.6 per 100k)
  6. Alaska (8.4 per 100k)
  7. Alabama (8.3 per 100k)
  8. Mississippi (8.2 per 100k)
  9. Illinois (7.8 per 100k)
  10. South Carolina (7.8 per 100k)

A Conservative Politics Done Right listener attempted to skirt the numbers by making it seem that it wasn’t policy for this crime reality by pointing out that crime rates in Democratic cities in the Red States contributed to the numbers. The crime rate in urban areas is higher than in rural areas, even though rural crime is accelerating now. I may have misspoke in the video. But a study a few years ago titled “In Town vs. Country, It Turns Out That Cities Are the Safest Places to Live” should dispel the sanctity of rural America.

The bottom line is that there is a reason for a high crime rate that has been known for some time. Gun availability, poverty, and a lack of education are conducive to crime, and those stats are prevalent in the Red States.
