Many think I am crazy for saying it. But I do not expect Democrats to lose in 2022. In fact, I expect them to win it all, a blue wave.
A blue wave?
Last week’s Quinnipiac Poll, a poll I’ve always thought was biased against Democrats, is telling an important story. The trend is decidedly heading towards great news for Democrats.
President Joe Biden’s job approval rating bounces to a level not seen since September 2021. Forty percent of Americans approve of the job he’s doing, while 52 percent disapprove. It comes after July’s all-time low for Biden when 31 percent approved and 60 percent disapproved.
Americans 53 – 43 percent approve of Biden’s plan to cancel some federal student loan debt.
Americans 50 – 41 percent think former President Trump should be prosecuted on criminal charges over his handling of classified documents after leaving the White House. Nearly 6 in 10 think he acted inappropriately in the way he handled those documents.
Other key findings
- Two-thirds (67 percent) of Americans think the nation’s democracy is in danger of collapse, up from 58 percent in January.
- Registered voters give a slight edge to the Democratic Party when asked who they would want to see win control of the U.S. House of Representatives, with 47 percent saying the Democratic Party and 43 percent saying the Republican Party.
- When it comes to controlling the U.S. Senate, 47 percent of voters say they would want the Democratic Party to win control, while 45 percent say they would want the Republican Party to win control.
