CNN State of the Union host Dana Bash ridiculed a hyperventilating Trump sycophant, Rep. Jim Jordan, as he attempted to defend Trump against an indictment partially based on Trump’s own words.
Dana Bash ridicules Jim Jordan.
Rep. Jim Jordan appeared on CNN’s State of the Union with Dana Bash. He was the cantankerous Trump lapdog one would have expected to blur the lines of reality for Donald Trump. But it was hard for the Trump sycophant to answer any question Bash had based on the devastating 48-page Trump indictment document.
Jim Jordan did not attempt to defend Trump’s unpatriotic likely treasonous acts, and he simply attempted to destroy the process, the DOJ, and President Biden. Bash gave him more leeway than he deserved to spout his repetitious poison that I refuse to give coverage to as they have already been debunked. But there is one exchange that I wish more journalists would mimic.
Journalists must generally keep their opinions out of the interview, But when their opinion is not just an opinion but a demonstrable fact, it is their duty to state it, and that is exactly what Bash did.
When data confronted Jim Jordan with Trump’s own words about his inability to declassify a document he had because he was no longer president, he simply reinterpreted it in an obviously false manner. Dana’s response was perfect.
“What you are saying doesn’t make sense,” Dana interjected.
Every time a Trump sycophant comes on air to redefine words of truth, they should be ridiculed in real-time. And that is what Dana did.
