It is all about war
The two minute video snippet below tells it all. We must not allow ourselves to be fooled again. This issue is not about Democrat vs Republican. We must not forget that many a Democrat voted for the Iraq war even as there was ample evidence we were being snowed. In fact, many Democrats including Senator Chuck Schumer are currently betraying the President’s attempt at an honorable negotiated agreement with Iran un-tethered from an ineffective Senate.
The President and other international powers negotiated a comprehensive framework with Iran to ensure they cannot make a nuclear bomb. The framework was much tougher on Iran than many thought possible. The agreement was much more comprehensive than what America’s new ‘foreign policy dictator’, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated to Congress.
Note that Benjamin Netanyahu is now moving the goal post from nuclear weapons to Iran accepting Israel’s right to exist as if words matter more than actions. The President rejected this for what it is, ineptitude on the Israeli Prime Minister’s part at best or another attempt to derail the process at worst. The warmongering Prime Minister has no scruples. Inasmuch as he has been wrong for decades — Jon Stewart ridiculed him with statements from then and now — Republicans and Democrats continue to appease him.
This drumbeat to war must end. Americans must demand that foreigners refrain from injecting themselves into our foreign policy. Americans must never again be fooled into war.
Wrong About Iraq, Wrong About Iran
The framework agreement the U.S. and its international partners reached with Iran that blocks Tehran’s pathways to building a nuclear bomb is barely a week old and yet the usual suspects have already denounced it as a “bad deal.” Sound Familiar?
Of course, we all know how this played out: no WMD, tens of thousands of Americans killed or wounded, countless Iraqi civilians dead, nearly $4 trillion spent, and ISIS on a rampage throughout the Middle East.
Why should we listen to these people again?
