NRA-owned politicians’ San Bernardino mass shooting tweets mocked (VIDEO)

December 3, 2015 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

NRA owned politicians mocked by ThinkProgress Igor Volsky.

Igor Volsky by ewillies

Igor Volsky, director of video and a contributing editor at ThinkProgress gave a clinic on Twitter. He was fed up with yet another massacre. His ingenuity should be replicated more often. Igor Volsky replied to the condolence tweets of every NRA owned politician. He responded with a tweet detailing their particular NRA linkage.

Volsky appeared on All-In with Chris Hayes. Chris gave him the space to vent. Vent he did. When asked how it started, Igor got real.

“Well it just started in the sense that it is so predictable,” Volsky said. “The responses are so predictable. I mean they have been thinking and praying about this since Newtown. We are almost as you point out at the anniversary, December 14th. We had such an opportunity then as a country to pass some actual gun reform. We didn’t. Here we are almost a year after having the same conversation. And these lawmakers are having the same, same exact reaction they had then and to all of the shootings we’ve seen since then.”

Hayes pushed Volsky on whether his comments may be premature and whether the thinking and praying sentiment was worthy of criticism.

“It is good to think and pray,” Volsky said. “But these folks only want to think and pray. And the NRA only pays them to only think and pray about gun violence and not to do anything else about it. You know they spend some thirty million dollars in the 2014 election independent expenditures, making sure that all certain lawmakers do is think and pray and nothing else. I am all for thinking and for praying and for having these very serious moments where we reflect on what happened, where we remember the victims. But I think the country is ready for action, for actually something to be done, not just the thinking and the praying.”

Here are some of the tweets.
