Do Not Donate To Democrats Unless They Show They Listen

December 4, 2009 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

I just received a call requesting contributions from the Texas Democratic Party from a call center in Minnesota. There is likely similar occurrences in every one of our 50 states. I have donated to local, extra local, and national Democratic candidates over the last several years. I did this to work towards a progressive agenda that though most people do not refer to it as such when asked, do want said agenda. This time I was a bit perturbed and told the caller that I will no longer donate to Democrats unless they begin acting like Democrats as opposed to drones for the insurance companies and other corporations that work against the interest of the average American.

Following the statement, I asked the caller if they make notes to provide to the Democratic party so they can get the actual pulse of their constituency’s disgust. The caller said there was no way to provide that information. In other words these guys are just money gathering operations without providing a value in returned to the constituent.

It is time for us to get results. We must give abundantly to those politicians who actively support our interest and deny completely those who do not. This will do two things. One, it will show the wayward Democrats that there is money with the masses that their opponent will get and secondly it will force them to get more money from their corporate puppeteers which in turn can be used in commercials that show who is the master driving said politician.

It is time that we get intelligent with our contributions like the lobbyists in Washington. The reality is in masses we can provide more.
