Call for Susan #p2 #hcr

March 19, 2010 By Egberto Willies

*

Today, it’s time to pick up the phone on behalf of Susan Braig.

When Susan was diagnosed with breast cancer she had catastrophic insurance from Blue Cross, so she thought she was covered. Cancer is a catastrophic illness, right? Apparently, Blue Cross thought differently.

Click here to watch Susan’s story and then pick up the phone to call your Representative AGAIN and urge them to vote YES on health reform:

Watch Susan tell her story

Nobody in America should have to face breast cancer and fight their insurance company for coverage at the same time. If health reform passes, they won’t.

With reform, people will be able to afford the coverage they need. And insurance companies won’t be able to sell junk insurance – they’ll have to offer a comprehensive benefit package that provides free preventative care and covers serious illnesses like cancer.

Click here to call your Representative AGAIN for Susan and tell them to vote YES.

The House is still on track to vote on the health care bill passed by the Senate along with a package of improvements by this weekend, but the insurance industry and their allies are spending millions fighting reform.

Rush Limbaugh and his followers are trying to shut down the phone lines to Congress in a last-ditch attempt to block reform. We can’t let them win!

Once again, we need to call, call, call! We need to be loud! We need to tell our Representatives that they need to listen to us and not the insurance companies.

Click here to call your Representative AGAIN and tell them to vote YES on health reform.

We’ve been talking to Members of Congress all week, and your calls are getting through.

Let’s win this thing!
To your health,
Jason Rosenbaum
