Consumer Union: One down, one to go! #p2 #tcot #hcr

Take a moment, celebrate the House of Representative’s historic vote, and thank yourself for all your hard work on health reform!

How did your Representative vote?

Look here!

Then thank the lawmakers who said "YES" to real benefits for your family.

Then find out how your own Representative voted, and say ‘thank you’ for all the YES votes that got us here.

It was your phone calls, emails and donations to the Action Fund that helped us win the battle. On Friday, calls were pouring in at a rate of 100,000 each hour and Capitol phone lines overloaded. Even if your call didn’t get through, lawmakers got the message!
But the fight is far from over.

The Senate still must pass important fixes to the health reform bill, and opponents are going to try and prevent Senators from getting to that final vote. Meanwhile, Representatives who had the courage to stand up for health reform, and stand against the giant insurance companies, are being targeted for their vote.

See how your Representative voted here, and send them a ‘thank you’ if they voted yes.

Next, we’ll be asking you in the coming days to make a phone call to your Senators in support of the final health reform bill.

Opponents will continue to do everything and anything they can to kill reform, and we need to make sure the Senate doesn’t give in to the lies, misrepresentations and half-truths that opponents are using to scare them from real change. Your phone calls later this week will let Senators know their constituents expect them to finish the job.

Thank you once again for EVERYTHING you have done. There is no question that your passion and commitment made the difference in this battle. Please help us win the right for every American to have access to affordable, dependable health coverage – and not be at the mercy of the insurance companies.

Sincerely,
Liz Foley,
