Right Wing Republicans would have one believe that the mainstream media is in the hands of liberals or have a liberal bias. This could not be further from the truth. If this were the case, the Tea Parties would receive coverage relative to their actual numbers or results. Until Rand Paul’s victory on May 18th, 2010, no important Tea Party candidate had won an election, yet the movement has been treated as if it really had accomplishments and given coverage even when only small numbers were present.
The facts are irrefutable. The last seven special congressional elections were all won by Democrats even with large GOP investments in many. In this toxic economic environment where the electorate seem to want a pound of flesh, a legitimate movement would at least take some of these districts. It seems the electorate is well aware that the GOP has no solutions as they were ultimately responsible for policies that caused our collapse.
Recent AP polls show that Democrats maintain a 5% generic ballot advantage. While Congress for all practical purposes is despised by the electorate, Americans in November will have no interest in returning to policies that have ultimately failed over the last 30 years. Objective reporting will soon overtake GOP talking points as the evidence continue to mount that these talking points are based on an alternate reality they hope to make real by having the mainstream media influence the depression of the progressive vote.
