HuffPost editor Roy Sekoff taped a segment for "The Joy Behar Show" on CNN Headline News Tuesday addressing President Obama’s sinking approval ratings.
That story, Sekoff told Behar, is a function of the other top news of the day: 26 million unemployed or underemployed Americans, a wave of foreclosures, ramping up in Afghanistan and the ongoing BP oil spill aren’t helping, he said.
Obama needn’t sweat the short-term polls, however, as long as he gets results, Sekoff said. To that end, he advised stronger action on the economy in favor of aid to ordinary Americans.
"His biggest mistake was not being aggressive and thinking he could be a postpartisan president," Sekoff said of Obama. "It’s hard to be the postpartisan president when the other side is trying to be as partisan as possible."
