With 21 days left until Election Day, we are within striking distance, and we have a plan to win.

Our most recent tracking poll showed Bill at 41% to Perry’s 46%. Libertarian candidate Kathie Glass is at 5%, and 7% of likely Texas voters are still undecided. Most undecideds and independents have an unfavorable view of Perry, and undecideds usually end up voting for the challenger. The poll had a sample size of 1,200 people — which is larger and more reliable than any of the public polls you may have seen circulating. Download a detailed polling memo by clicking here.

The election could be determined by less than 1%, which means less than 50,000 voters. To turn out voters, we have developed an aggressive field plan with over 20 volunteer offices and a robust social media organization that reaches hundreds of thousands of Texans. Between our field plan to expand the number of voters and our strategy to win a majority of undecideds, we have a path to victory in November.

What’s more, we are finally seeing that Rick Perry’s cronyism and corruption is catching up to him. Reports from just last week show Perry’s funneled $16 million in taxpayer dollars to companies tied to his biggest donors. Perry has allowed his political fundraising machine to take over the governor’s office– since 2000, Perry has raised $35 million from just 149 individuals, many of who had business before the state. When Texans are reminded about Perry’s corruption, his exchange of campaign cash for appointments and state grants, they turn away from him. We are seeing this every day.

In six days, on Monday, October 18th, early voting will begin.

We expect Perry to get more desperate in the coming days. His crew of handlers, consultants and lobbyists don’t want their gravy train to come to an end. In this final push, we will need your help to fight back and to get out the vote.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Moore
Campaign Manager
Bill White for Texas
