I received the email below today. I removed the company name, website, and numbers. Suffice it to say I receive these types of emails on a daily basis. As a software developer/engineer/entrepreneur I see this specific email as the progressive demise of US software development. Given that I own my own software company, I can maximize profits by having these guys develop software to my spec as I concern myself simply with sales & marketing.
Indian engineers are just as good as American engineers. They are simply willing to work for less because their standard of living is not the same as ours in the United States. Inasmuch as financially speaking it may be of individual benefit to cave and simply develop software overseas, it would be wrong for the wellbeing of the country as a whole and in the long term, the individual.
It is for this reason “government of the people” regulation is of utmost importance to ensure that all companies play by the same rules. All industries must have a protected component to ensure that America maintains a skillset to build everything else we will eventually become slaves to the rest of the world. This is no longer conjecture but fact.
That Progressive politicians do not push the narrative more forcefully, deliberately, and often that unfettered capitalism and outsourcing is a clear and present danger to the security of America and the standard of living of Americans is negligence. While we fight about nonsensical social and procedural issues, our country is being sold out. Those who can outsource our labor in effect weaken the country as our knowledge base and skillset is reduced for a mere lack of demand for them as the rest of the world gains and the small number of American Oligarchs and Plutocrats continue to pilfer the middle class.
