Yesterday I was invited likely by mistake to a President Obama hate Facebook Group Called “1 MILLION People to DEFEAT Barack Obama”. It is likely a lame group that is trying to compete with the wildly popular Facebook Group called “Barack Obama (One Million Strong for Barack)” . I decided to attempt to engage in a conversation that resulted in a thread over 100 messages long in less than a few hours.
What is amazing is the consistency of the talking points of these Right Wing bots. After the moderator realized that they were fighting factual relevant information and discourse with rhetoric, she shut the thread down and deleted it. Interesting enough members of the group alerted me to said deletion.
I recreated most of the thread to illustrate the non-substantive one sidedness of the discussion. When I posted again to the site to inform that transparency is always the best disinfectant, I got a nasty response and the posting removed. The one thing the Right Wing fears is truthful and open information. It is evident that they likely have paid posters and group creators across the internet to give the semblance of popular legitimacy.
