Official Unveiling of Equipment for Kingwood Area Fire Stations

WHAT: Council Member Mike Sullivan, District E, and Fire Chief Terry Garrison officially unveil a highly anticipated Houston Fire Department All Terrain Vehicle (ATV). ATV). It will be used to access areas inaccessible to Fire Apparatus and EMS units for patient removal in the Kingwood area, resulting in a quicker patient contact time and transport to area hospitals.

WHEN: Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011 at 2 p.m.

WHERE: HFD Fire Station #103, located at 2907 High Valley Dr., Kingwood, TX 77339

DETAILS: This new Kawasaki Mule,  4WD Utility Vehicle will be called “ Utility Cart 103”. During a visit to Station #103, Council Member Sullivan realized the Fire Department had no way to navigate through the Kingwood green belts.  Without delay he began the process of requesting an ATV to better serve the community should there be an emergency.

For additional information, please contact Karina Moreno in Council Member Sullivan’s office at 832-393-3008 or Assistant Chief Lisa Campbell, HFD at 713‐404‐6078
