Opening a restaurant is fraught with a lot of challenges you don’t really consider until you’re an entrepreneur. For example, getting a website off the ground is a huge undertaking, as is making sure all your taxes are in order, especially if you’re hiring staff. After you take care of that, there are of course, the construction issues and inventory problems to deal with. It just never ends. I for one never thought about how we were going to process credit cards until a week before we opened, way too l! ate to get started. I found a site, bank-card-processing.com, where I could do some research on the different options and luckily it wasn’t too late to actually get something implemented before opening day. Now that the business is no longer in the planning stages there are still challenges that pop up all the time, but nothing compares to how difficult it was to even get the doors open in the first place. I think I lost several years off my life trying to get this restaurant open!
