Kingwood Area Democrats’ Deborah Mowrey pulled a double this week in getting her excellent writing printed in both the Kingwood Observer and the Houston Chronicle this week. We are very proud of her activism which is and will continue to be necessary going forward to ensure that we do not allow our nation its continued decline.
I am originally from a country in Central America. Teachers and principals were the bastion of society. It is hard to fathom the utter disdain with which teachers and educators are treated. These are the people we leave our most precious resources for many times upward of 8 hours a day.
That we would layoff, underpay, or short change these professional borders on insanity. For those that preach supply and demand and free enterprise, it behooves one that educators, the engine that drives us is allowed to decline.
