Sometimes watching the state of our healthcare dilemma, I am tempted to mail some nursing scrubs to every single politician in Washington and force them to actually work in the medical field so they can understand what the real medical workers are going through. Maybe at every politicians open debate or constituent visit we need to have a posse trailing them while encouraging them to go work the field. You see if they are able to see the suffering that not only the uninsured goes through but the actual medical employees, they will stop the attack on medical professionals and stop defending those that are really responsible for the collapse of our healthcare system.
One can only wonder if these politicians are capable of empathy and for that matter sympathy. I wager that placed in a locale with the real problem will force the politicians hand. The antiseptic nature of Washington distorts the politician’s sensibility. One can only hope at sometime this will be tried.
