It is time that the President becomes the educator in chief we expected of him. The Republicans must be called out for wanting to balance the budget by taxing the middle class as the wealthy goes unscathed.
It is time that the President cut ties with the plutocrats that have allowed for marginal policies masquerading as good policies. It is time for the President to become a true progressive, a true populist. Middle Class America is dying not for any fault of theirs, but for policies that ensure our wealth is distributed upward.
Every policy we have passed has first ensured that it will not affect the wealthy to any substantial degree. In fact even healthcare reform which legitimately helps the middle class in that it is better than the status quo, ensured that the wealthy owner of insurance companies and drug companies further profit.
I will paraphrase Rick Santelli; Mr. President, are you listening; to the middle class?
