For all those that continuously lie and state that if we increase taxes on the rich only, there would not be enough to cover our actual requirements, they would love if you did not understand the chart below.
It is not that we want to soak the rich. It is that a system was created that transferred the vast majority of all the wealth of the country to a very few. In other words that is where the disposable income and wealth is.
Do not for one minute think that those at the very top are worth their wealth. They have been benefactors of policies that allowed the accumulation of wealth from the movement of capital as opposed to an honest days work. An investment banker with a business degree produces nothing for society but benefits from moving capital and as such is able to hoard non productive wealth. A case could be made that because that wealth was acquired without work, it is a drag on the economy.
