After watching the President today I could only sit back in disgust, not specifically at the President but at dysfunction within the country. The politicians are a reflection of the citizens and not the other way around. The citizens are reflection of the systematic misinformation they have been fed for decades.
Who are we kidding? It is never shared sacrifice. The middle class has been economically stagnant for the last 30 years as the top 10%, 2%, and 1% progressively made off like bandits. During the crash we bailed them out, they resumed their wealth accumulation, then ask for shared sacrifices without taxes from the wealthy overseas job creators. It is never shared sacrifice. It is always middle class sacrifice.
