At the debate the Rick Perry said he has no problem sleeping at night after any death penalty recipient in the state is put to death. Even more disturbing was the audience reaction to Brian Williams stating the fact that no other state has executed as many human beings as Texas. They began screaming and whistling in support.
It is amazing that this is supposed to be moral party, the pro life party. What is interesting is that I would lose sleep not only because there is a distinct possibility that one of those executed was innocent but because a human life however decrepit was summarily snuffed out. This is why complete dominance by a party like what the Republicans have become is a clear and present danger to America. They are no different than extremist around the world.
