I attended the OccupyHouston event on October 6th, 2011 taped some of the event and interviewed several people. The event was orderly, well organized, intelligent, and orderly. One could not be prouder of how well the youth leaders (20s and 30s) kept control of the crowds and event.
Most interesting is that the crowds were well balanced. There were the youths, the middle aged, the elderly as well as the toddlers. Every racial group was well represented. The Mayor of Houston, Annise Parker ensured that the occupiers had full use of the park.

Hello Egberto,
I sent an email, but am also leaving a post here. We spoke during today’s conference call, and I’d like to help however I can. I’m hoping to attend Occupy Capitol at the end of this month, and join a work group to focus on things like messaging (dealing with our sound byte culture), as well as voter suppression issues.
