TDP STATEMENT ON GOP DEBATE

 

Below is a statement from Texas Democratic Party spokeswoman Kirsten Gray regarding tonight’s Republican presidential debate:

“We’re ready for real solutions to our nation’s economic issues – we want to hear a real plan for jobs, but the only presidential candidate with an actual jobs plan is President Obama. The Republican contenders need to wake up and realize that cutting our way to prosperity is not a “plan”; it’s a scheme to undercut the middle class and destroy our education system.

“It’s unfortunate that these debates are always scheduled around the dinner hour – the specter of watching the GOP “frontrunners” shamelessly pander while spouting the same failed ideas that got us into this economic mess is just plain nauseating.”
