Prescription drugs is one of the most expensive part of todays healthcare. Luckily many have medicare part d. This is an insurance policy that is approved by Medicare but provided by private companies. This was a necessary law that provided help to those who had to have it.
There are several ways to get Medicare Part D. You can join an HMO or PPO plan that includes the Medicare Part D coverage. This would general cost you a monthly premium depending on what you choose. Alternatively you can add Medicare Part D to your original Medicare Plan or some Medicare cost plan, private fee for service plans, or Medical Savings plan.
Note that if you cannot afford the cost of the Medicare Part D plan, then there are several programs that provide assistance. There are additional program that assist with Medigap or Medicaid if you meet the resource and income requirements.
