I wrote this article to detail the amazing experience I had in Washington DC as well as to implore my fellow Americans to get active lest we lose this democracy to a well organized Plutocracy that has been very effective in misleading a plurality of Americans. There is a lot happening around the country that we must all be attuned to.
The Occupy Wall Street movement seem to be coalescing into a real grass roots movement. It has spread nation wide. My two young co-host on “Politics Done Right” Andy Meyer and Evan Carroll are part of the Occupy Houston organizing team. I will be back in Washington for the Enough Is Enough Citizens Intervention Rally at the end of the month. I hope some of you reading this will consider flying up there as well. Just imagine instead of one person going to Ted Poe’s office in DC we get 20 or 30 directly from the community. Use some of those frequent flier miles for a good cause.
Whether you go to the rally in DC or your go downtown to the Occupy Houston camp, do something. (BTW, take them some food or donate online to keep them stocked. They are the current front line.)
