Occupy Houston had this great big march in downtown Houston last week. As an iReporter with CNN, I was in the thick of the protest video taping the event. I must say that I had a lot of fun. Mostly, it allowed me to remember my college days where we performed many protest on the south mall on campus. I must admit that none of our actions can climax what has begun to happen in America.
One of the major problems when covering an event like this is when ones Digital Camera Battery goes dead. That is exactly what happened to me. At the last speech given at one of the banks I set up my tripod and began taping. I then heard that dreaded beep. That beep that says you have no more battery power. At that point my shoot was over,. I started to revert to my trusty cell phone camera but by then the moment had passed. I attempted to get the speaker to give a recap but he said he could only do it in the moment.
