That Congress is tied up in knots whenever it must appropriate monies for middle class assistance or middle class centric issues while quickly passing corporate centric bills irrespective of it being paid for is illustrative of the lack of power of the middle class. Case in point is the ruckus currently with regards to extending unemployment insurance and extending the middle class tax cuts.
There are 160 million Americans this bill affects; 160 million potential voters, yet to protect less than half a million from marginal tax increases our “moral party”, the GOP is willing to sacrifice our economy and the well-being of millions of middle class Americans.
