Harris County Tejano Democrats Announce  2012 Democratic Primary Endorsements

(Houston, TX)… …. Harris County Tejano Democrats, HCTD conducted their endorsement meeting Thursday, February 9th. The organization’s screening and endorsement committee, met with each eligible candidate and put forth the recommendations to the general membership.

The candidates participated in an individual screening interview and answered an extensive questionnaire, addressing key issues such as after school program funding, appointing or hiring qualified Latinos to key positions, and more. The membership of the organization ultimately has the last approval as the recommendations are solidified by a popular vote. The endorsed slate is attached.

“I congratulate all the candidates that received our endorsement, and look forward to working with them in an effort to have a successful election. It is primarily important that we focus on the getting the Latino vote out and that is what we will aim to achieve!” stated Jason Cisneroz, Chair of Harris County Tejano Democrats.
