I decided to record portions of our local Coffee Party monthly meeting today. We are Coffee Party USA – Woodlands TX. Our topic of discussion was education. Our group is now facilitated by Denise Miller, an educator.
Today’s discussion was led by Cassandra Jones. Cassandra and her team did an immense amount of research both on our Texas education system as well as how it is interfaced with the federal government. Suffice it to say they were thorough and provided much to discuss.
Our local Coffee Party meeting tends to be extremely informative and active. Most importantly all those attending leave knowing much more which will allow them to enter both the local, state, and national discourse from a position of strength giving the knowledge imparted in our meetings.
We believe if more people would get together with their neighbors, some shared research, and a cup of coffee, neither politicians nor the special interest groups and corporations that finance politicians through legal bribery would be able to corrupt the body politic as they are doing today.
It is this type of community connecting that will allow us to reclaim our government. The video below has a few snippets from our Coffee Party meeting which was very engaging. This is very representative of the discourse we have on many issues as well as the tone with which we have our discourse.
