Members of CWA 6222 Vote to Endorse Trautman for County School Board Houston, TX. – Members of the Communication Workers of America Local 6222 voted to endorse Dr. Diane Trautman for Harris County Board of Education last week. Trautman’s earlier endorsements include Harris County AFL-CIO, Houston Black American Democrats, Harris County Tejano Democrats, the Houston Federation of Teachers, Area 5 Democrats, Democracy for Houston, Democracy for America, Katy Area Democrats, the Pleasantville Voters League, and Afro-American Sheriff’s Deputy League.
CWA President, Steven Flores, had this to say about the endorsement, "On behalf of the CWA we are proud to announce our endorsement of Diane Trautman for Harris County Board of Education. She is not only the best qualified for this job, but her commitment to public education is unending. We are confident she will make us proud, and we ask all to vote for her."

Dr. Trautman has over 25 years of education experience as a teacher, principal, and professor of education. She worked in four Harris County school districts during this time, and before going into the education field, she worked 10 years in the Houston banking industry. She is currently retired from education and serves on the advisory board of Will’s Kids, a non profit organization that encourages children to stay in school.
