The President Created Jobs Here At Home; Romney Shipped Jobs Overseas

imageThe Obama campaign released a new response ad today that highlights Mitt Romney’s belief that a strong economy is built on outsourcing, loopholes and risky financial deals. While President Obama has helped create jobs here in America and encouraged companies to bring jobs back home, Mitt Romney shipped jobs overseas both in the private sector and as governor of Massachusetts.

Today’s ad responds to an ad released last week by Americans for Prosperity, a Romney Super PAC. Romney and his Big Oil allies keep launching false and straw men attacks that have been repeatedly debunked by independent fact checkers.

The American people deserve the truth: President Obama’s immediate action helped create jobs for projects here in America, not overseas. We’ve seen 25 straight months of private-sector jobs growth, and businesses have created 4.1 million jobs in that time.

As a corporate CEO, Romney shipped American jobs to places like Mexico and China. As governor, Romney outsourced state jobs to India, and now as a candidate for president he’s pushing tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas.

Romney’s familiar and troubling economic scheme stands in stark contrast with President Obama’s efforts to continue moving the country forward. We need an economy built to last, that makes things the rest of the world buys and out-builds, out-innovates and out-educates the world.
