Concerned Citizens Deliver 1.9 Million Petitions to Overturn Citizens United via Constitutional Amendment: Senate Hearing Today

In support of today’s first ever Senate Hearing on Citizens United, concerned citizens will deliver at least 1,959,063 signatures calling for overturning Citizens United and related cases by amending the Constitution.

The petitions were gathered in support of  hearings held by the Constitution Subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee to examine the impact of unlimited, often anonymous spending to influence election results, and the need for constitutional remedies to restore the democratic promise of America. The people whose names appear on these petitions reflect the deep-seated public concern about the state of our democracy
