Message From HCDP Chairman: Romney Runs Right for Ryan

imageFellow Democrats:

This morning, we wake up to the news that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has named Representative Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential nominee.

Yes, that Rep. Paul Ryan.

Rep. Ryan is the famous author of the “Ryan budget”, a proposal that would essentially end Medicare and replace it with private plans.

During his time in congress, Ryan voted against the historic health care reform bill, and chose to put big insurance companies first.  He also supports extreme cuts to education, including slashing Head Start, special education and teacher quality programs.

Is this the kind of leadership we need?  Is the Romney-Ryan ticket what is best for the middle class?
No!

A Romney-Ryan plan puts us all at risk.  I need you to contribute to the HCDP so we can fight back against this awful agenda and help re-elect Democrats that will stand up for the middle class.

Join me.
Lane Lewis, Chair
