The Women of The International Longshoremen’s Association AFL-CIO under the tutelage of Andrea Gardner presented a book signing event for Linda Tarr-Whelan’s book “Women Lead The Way”. Linda Tarr-Whelan gave an empowering speech specifically addressed at women to empower themselves. She stated that America is rated 80th in the number of women serving politically. She stated that it is necessary that we men start engaging and voting till a critical mass is reached.
