Tonight when NBC released its polls in the battleground states of Wisconsin and Iowa it became evident to me that absent some fluke President Obama will be re-elected. Those states are saturated with both Romney negative ads as well as a never ending set of ads from the bastions of our Plutocracy. Additionally the micro attacks and targeted attacks by email, videos, Twitter, Facebook that do not make it on TV but somehow end up in my mailbox is ongoing. If this scorched earth attack has not yet metastasized in the psyche of these folks yet, it is likely because immunity to ads has set in and the states are likely reaching stability with a bias for the President.
So why are the national polls moving more to Romney? The reality is the rest of the country was not subject to the volume of misinformation and attacks as the battle ground states. As such the convincible minds are not strong to attacks from either side. Every new stumble or win is likely amplified.
We need to whether this storm while the entire nation is now really starting to engage in the election. Instead of being worried we need to be proactive. We need to personalize what an Obama re-election would mean as opposed to what a Romney election would mean. If you need some factual information please check out the following posts.

Folks, in my humble opinion if we take the next 18 days to inform our friends and neighbors about the real Mitt Romney instead of the Mitt Romney façade currently running, we will have a slim but significant win in popular vote and an Electoral College landslide. We must remember, this is not about President Obama. It is about us. We must re-elect him and then ensure that he represents and executes the values of our Progressive Democratic Platform.
