We had a great Occupy Kingwood today. Our numbers were very high. Kevin Higgins had a sign party yesterday and brought a ton of new signs.
Over the last few weeks we discussed the future of our local movement post-election. Occupy Kingwood will be morphing into a chapter of Move to Amend. Our affiliation with Move To Amend national will make the group an integral party of the national movement to amend the constitution to codify that money is not speech and that corporations are not people.
The two above mentioned tenets are two of the most corrosive aspects of our Democracy that once eradicated will give the constitutional standing for Americans to demand that politicians write sensible electoral laws.
