I love this. In every corner of our state Democrats are awakening. If you live in the are please attend the meeting and let’s turn Texas Blue from the ground up. Enough is enough. Let’s stop those who would turn the clock back in Texas. We are proud Texans and cannot allow the continued decimation of true Texas values.

LONE STAR DEMOCRATIC CLUB – MEETING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21st @ 6:00PM

imageThursday, February 21st, 2013 – The Lone Star Democratic Club will meet at the Montgomery County South Library , 2101 Lake Robbins Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77380 (across from the Market Street HEB) at 6:00pm. We will meet in the large meeting room just to the left as you enter the front door.  We will have to be out of the room by 8:30. Mark your calendars, we meet every month on the 3rd Thursday.

· There are about 15 Towns, 6 ISD’s, 1 college district, 98 MUD’s, and 1 Improvement District with over 50 non-partisan positions up for election this year!! – How can we help turn Texas Blue? … from the ground up.  Join in the conversation with Bruce Barnes as he explores opportunities for all of us to impact our communities. Voter turnout is expected to be low, so, let’s not hand these positions over to the Tea Party by default.

· Time permitting Bruce will continue the conversation we had last month about the fiscal state of our union.

· Please bring food for the Interfaith Food Bank.  The food bank is our current community project.

    I will be moving to Spring, TX in the fall. I am building a house in the Augusta Pines area. I have been a Democrat all my life and have served on the Board for the Democratic Club in Pacific Palisades, CA. I am interested in finding other Democrats in Texas. I hear they are hard to find, thus, I am interested in joining your club when I arrive. Hope that you can keep me informed about your club. Marianne Annis
