Pls Share: UFW #FieldFotos day of action for new immigration process

June 24, 2013 By Egberto Willies

UFW UFW

We are at a critical juncture in our path towards a new immigration process. Today as the U.S. Senate moves forward with the immigration reform bill, S. 744, farm workers have already begun using their breaks to ask Senators to support a new immigration process that includes a roadmap to citizenship. Farm workers will post pictures of themselves in the fields and upload them on Facebook and Twitter, using the #FieldFotos hashtag and directing their posts at key Senators, like Sen. Saxby Chambliss of Georgia. Can you please join our farm workers on this day of online action and help by:1. Re-tweeting or sharing the farm workers’ posts on Twitter and Facebook. You can find them by typing in #FieldFotos in your Twitter and/or Facebook searchbar.

2. Taking a picture of yourself holding a homemade sign saying, I support farm workers. Please vote for S. 744. Tweet your photo at your Senator and/or post it on Facebook with the #FieldFotos hashtag. (sample message below or go to http://ufw.org/fieldfotos)

3. If you don’t have a Facebook or Twitter account (and even if you do) can you forward this email to friends and family who use Facebook and Twi

4. If you use social media please "LIKE" us on Facebook @UFW and @UFW Foundation and follow us on Twitter at @UFWupdates and @UFWF.

The timing is key and your help today is critical. The Senate is expected to vote on S. 744’s final passage this week. This bipartisan legislation is so important to farm workers since it includes special agricultural provisions negotiated by the UFW, major grower associations and Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Michael Bennet (D-Colo.).

Please join us in supporting farm workers and sending #FieldFotos.Si Se Puede!

Arturo S. Rodriguez
President

PS: Please share with others. Forward this email to as many friends and family as possible and download the following flyers (Flyer, Volante) to share with others online.
