- The President got an Obamacare boost this week by way of New York’s implementation of the exchanges. Will Red State governors relent when they see it working?
State insurance regulators say they have approved rates for 2014 that are at least 50 percent lower on average than those currently available in New York. Beginning in October, individuals in New York City who now pay $1,000 a month or more for coverage will be able to shop for health insurance for as little as $308 monthly. With federal subsidies, the cost will be even lower.

- President Cruz?
So what it all comes down to is if you really believe that Cruz is more dangerous as president than Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, Chris Christie or the rest of the likely field, then you most definitely don’t want him in place just in case 2016 turns out to be a good year for Republicans.
- If you ever worried whether the Koch brothers can be defeated remember even the Windows mastodon is being tamed.
Just when it looked like Microsoft’s vision of the PC as the center of the tech world would lead to the creation of the world’s first trillion-dollar company, the Internet came along. And it washed over the PC industry like a tidal wave swallowing a pond.
- Another Conservative split?
Attorney General Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II of Virginia said Saturday that Gov. Bob McDonnell should consider resigning over the lavish gifts he and his family took from a political benefactor.
Mr. Cuccinelli, who is running to succeed Mr. McDonnell, went further than he has gone before in criticizing his fellow Republican. His remarks came during a debate with his Democratic opponent, Terry McAuliffe.
- I loved the President’s speech. That Erick Erickson liked it as well concerns me.
Ppl say we need to have an honest conversation about race. Sounds like the President tried to start one. Don’t see the need to attack.

- Well Sean Hannity hated it so it is all OK.
I was listening to Sean Hannity when the speech started. (I was in my car, and in that environment, and where I was driving, a place of poor reception where few NY stations can be received, the signal from WABC boomed into my car.) Here is how Mr. Hannity reacted:
“Now the president’s saying Trayvon could’ve been me 35 years ago,” … “This is a particularly helpful comment. Is that the president admitting that I guess because what, he was part of the Choom Gang and he smoked pot and he did a little blow — I’m not sure how to interpret because we know that Trayvon had been smoking pot that night.”
- .Should reporters reporting leaks ever have the duty to testify?
A federal court ruled on Friday that New York Times reporter and author James Risen will have to testify in the trial of a former CIA officer charged with leaking him classified information.
A divided three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals Fourth Circuit handed down the ruling that Risen will have to testify in the case of Jeffrey Alexander Sterling, who allegedly gave Risen classified information about efforts to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
- Thank you Mr. President.
