American Gets Affordable Chinese Healthcare – Need Obamacare?

Ron Julian getting Chinese Healthcare

Chinese Healthcare

Affordable Chinese Healthcare is available for every American. More and more Americans are realizing that people are living just fine all over the world. They get their healthcare in their own countries. Their medical success rates are as good or better than in the United States. More importantly their procedures are a fraction of the cost.

Mr. Ron Julian decided to get his Chinese Healthcare. Julian is a small business owner in Texas that does not currently have health insurance. He will reach Medicare age shortly and find pre-Obamacare insurance prices “ridiculously high”.   Julian says, “healthcare in America suck. It is a scam.”

Mr. Julian had cataracts in both eyes. He needed to get artificial lens. He said the price for doing the surgery in America was north of $9,000.00. For him getting Chinese Healthcare was the answer. The price for getting surgery on both eyes including stays at the hospital was just over $2,000.00.

Mr. Julian used an airline pass to fly to China. He checked into the hospital, got his surgery, and then a few days later left with perfect vision. Mr. Julian said he is very satisfied with the quality of service he received. He loved the care he received from the nurses and the doctors. He said the level of care was superior to the care he has seen in the United States.

Julian said he was so happy with the Chinese Healthcare system he would go  back if necessary. Mr. Julian’s experience should dispel the myth about foreign healthcare. It should allow the discussion of alternatives to the pathetic system in the US. His story is also told by American recipients in India, UK, France and many other countries.

Chinese Healthcare

America prides itself as being an exceptional country. What exactly does that mean? What makes a country more exceptional than the other? If the answer is aggregate wealth, then America is exceptional. If it is about who wields the largest military, then America is exceptional. If it is how the country’s aggregate wealth is distributed or how it administers healthcare, then the United States is far from exceptional.

Mr. Julian, a middle class American, having to get Chinese healthcare is a testament that America pre-Obamacare is unable to take care of its own. After decades of ideological objections to some sort of universal healthcare, a fairly Conservative healthcare program seemed a no brainer. After all, Obamacare is based on both the Conservative Heritage Foundation’s past recommendations and on RomneyCare. This is the same plan implemented successfully in Massachusetts.

Mr. Julian seeking Chinese healthcare is becoming the norm for those who can afford to travel, have the time to travel, and have some disposable income. Unfortunately, most Americans do not. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is the start of bringing some sanity, affordability, and humanity to the American healthcare system. Many Conservatives acknowledge this. Opposing it without a viable alternative is unconscionable.
